Calligraphy – Japanese Calligraphy
A Chinese poem composed and written in cursive Six Dynasties Chinese character calligraphy style, by Kusakabe Meikaku. It expresses his deep emotions felt when he saw the “Gakkiron (essay)”, passed down among the Shosoin Treasures as the writing (copy) by Empress Komyo. After it was presented to the Imperial Household , it was mounted as a set of two hanging scrolls by the Imperial Household Ministry.(「Passing Down Masterpieces」2020)
