Waka poem on kaishi paper, known as Hogo kaishi (scraped poems)

Waka poem on kaishi paper, known as Hogo kaishi (scraped poems)

This is considered to be a draft of a waka poem being prepared for the gathering of waka poets hosted by Gotoba-in. The theme is three peoms on a winter day, on plovers at a pinetree beach, morning snow at a house on a mountain, and a night of love druing a journey. Judging by the rank written in the signature, it was written when Sadaie was age 39 to 41.
