Two Waka poems

Two Waka poems

Two waka poems with teachings of esoteric Buddhism by Jien ordered by ex-emperor Gotoba dated July 1219 written on the reinforcing paper. Though it is traditionally known as to be written by Ietaka ( 1158-1237 ), they cannot be found in Ietaka's poem anthologies, but it can be considered to be the handwriting from the era of Jien and Ietaka.(「New Edition Grace, Beauty and Inqenuity-Masterpices of the Museum of Imperial Collections, Sannomaru Shozokan Vol.1」2003)
