Pair of vases with grape and squirrel design in gold and multicolored overglaze
Typical of a product of Seiji Gaisha, which created pieces for export succeeding the tradition of old Imari ware, the design is a traditional squirrel and grape motif, but shows refined western style sense in its realistic painting with gradation.
