Letter by Sakamoto Ryoma
A letter written by Sakamoto Ryoma ( 1835-67 ) to his third sister Otome, probably when he was 29 years old. It tells her that he had become a disciple of Katsu Kaishu, that he was busily engaged in establishing the Kobe Navy training school, etc, and his affection towards his sister is well expressed.(「New Edition Grace, Beauty and Inqenuity-Masterpices of the Museum of Imperial Collections, Sannomaru Shozokan Vol.1」2003)
