Woman of an Ancient Era
This bulky wooden sculpture represents a woman from an ancient era with a sorrowful look in her eyes. The colors applied to the sculpture enhance the beauty of its shape. This work received a commendation at the 9th Art Exhibition of the Ministry of Education in 1915, and was purchased by the Ministry of the Imperial Household.（「Imperial Splendor：Artworks Related to the Tohoku Region」2021）
