Monkeys

Mori Sosen ( 1747?-1821 ), establisher of the Mori School which specialized in animal paintings, was influenced by Okyo and showed a style based on realism characterized by minute and precise brushwork, etc. In this work, the depiction of monkeys stands out because of the vast space with only thin ink mist in the background.
