Albums of Fresh Colors (Zuisai)
This was made as a present celebrating the wedding of the Crown Prince by Tokyo Prefecture, the paintings are by seventy three representative painters of the Nihonga world of the time selected from all over Japan. Although these pictures are mostly from auspicious subjects or celebrating motifs because of the purpose, some painters painted their own best subjects freely and easily.
