Dragon and Tiger

Gantai, who learned painting from his father Ganku, acted as a central figure in the Kyoto painting world and the successor to the founder of the Kishi school, specializing in paintings of tigers and also peaceful Shijo School style paintings. He participated in the fusuma painting of the Imperial Palace, and this pair is one of them.
