A proper waka paper sheet written by Fujiwara no Nobutsuna with a New Year theme, and is one of the poems written according to themes of the 12 months by Gotoba-in and his close subjects around 1200. It is written by the same author of the Kumano Kaishi, and the series similar in style are known as Kumano rui Kaishi. (「New Edition Grace, Beauty and Inqenuity-Masterpices of the Museum of Imperial Collections, Sannomaru Shozokan Vol.1」2003)
