With surging waves splashing water in the center, a tiger threatening towards the upper sky, and a dragon staring towards the ground, are placed at
a diagonal. It is painted with the traditional Kano school style, pursuing reality. It is a painting commissioned by Emperor Meiji, to be exhibited in the 1900 Paris International Exposition, and was painted by Hashimoto Gaho (1835-1908).(「Passing Down Masterpieces」2020)
