Sculpture – Wood Carvings
Horses of different types and different labors are created with their skeleton and muscles precisely formed in wooden sculptures colored with pigments. The sculptor, Goto Sadayuki is known for creating the original model of the horse of the Kusunoki Masashige statue standing in the outer gardens of the Imperial Palace.(「A Cross Section of Meiji Art」2018)
