This painting is similar to the Farming of the Four Seasons by Kano Korenobu, included in the fusuma ( sliding door ) paintings of Daisen' in in Daitokuji Temple, and was also originally a fusuma painting. It is considered to be the work of a painter of the Kano school, studying under someone close to Kano Motonobu.(「New Edition Grace, Beauty and Inqenuity-Masterpices of the Museum of Imperial Collections, Sannomaru Shozokan Vol.1」2003)
