Visitors will encounter some of the most iconic masterpieces in the Museum\u2019s collection, including government-designated National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties, many of which have been researched and written about extensively. Other highlights include the Sh\u014ds\u014din Treasures, which have been preserved by the Imperial Family for centuries, and the H\u014dry\u016bji Treasures, a collection associated with Prince Sh\u014dtoku (574\u2013622), one of Japan\u2019s earliest proponents of Buddhism.
