Paintings – Japanese / Asian Paintings

Arranging various birds, flowers and insects of spring and autumn in each scroll, the joy of living beings in each season is depicted with elegant expression. On the other hand, the contrast of the two scrolls gives an impression of the inevitable vicissitudes in the nature world throughout the year. This is Komuro's ambitious work contrasting depiction of the seasons by arrangement of colors and its attitude based on sketching learned from the Nanpin School, showed an outstanding new painting direction for the Nanga.(「New Edition Grace, Beauty and Inqenuity-Masterpices of the Museum of Imperial Collections, Sannomaru Shozokan Vol.1」2003)
