The 1st, 5th and 6th poems of the Ga-no-bu (chapter of celebrations) in Kokin Wakashu, are written on karagami made in Japan decorated with arabesque rhombus patterns printed with mica on a ground of white pigment. It was originally in scroll form, which was cut to be more easily appreciated.(「New Edition Grace, Beauty and Inqenuity-Masterpices of the Museum of Imperial Collections, Sannomaru Shozokan Vol.1」2003)
